up next is the new video from alice in chains off their new album, black gives to blue.  sure, Layne Staley died back in 2002, but that cant stop the ‘chains gang’.
‘check my brain’ was even the first song to come up in the search box as i was typing it!!…this stuff is taking off like never before!  i think the fans deserve it after the extended hiatus.. they are gonna be the only alternative band inducted into the rock hall of fame TWICE.  i am looking forward to many more albums with this new lineup.  first off, i like the new singer.  he sounds frighteningly like layne staley so i guess thats the whole idea, and they got me sold on it.  the new guy moves in the videos  and he plays guitar with emotion so thats prolly more than staley could ever do.  this new  guy probably doesnt have problems leaving his dressing room for the time of the video shoot.  remember the video for ‘i stay away’ with the puppets????     they had to switch the whole production of the video last minute because layne staley was missing for like 5 days in birmingham.   so , basically the new album sounds exactly like their last album -the one with the 3 legged dog on it.  so i’d recommend it to anyone looking for that classic alice in chains sound.  many attempted to replicate it, but no one could reach the magic of these seattle bad boys.
